Prime Big Deal Days (Oct 6–7): how we pick and what we watch

Amazon’s short October event window is Oct 6–7 (early waves often show up a few days before). Here’s how SnipeDaily treats that heat without turning the site into a rumor board.

How we pick during Big Deal Days

Same-day hot first. We rank what’s actually moving that morning — deal blogs, early event waves, vertical heat — so Of the Day feels like today, not a leftover list from last week.

Buy New prices only. Every dollar we print on a deal page or X teaser came from a real Amazon Buy New capture (or Amazon’s own shown list/was on that capture). We never invent a was or a “historic low.”

PASS or quiet. No honest PASS (at least a few shippable New rows) means no new Of the Day and no teaser. Better blank than invented dollars.

Last known good when Amazon walls us. Agent browsers sometimes hit Amazon’s unauthorized-AI interstitial. When that happens we don’t invent prices and we don’t stall forever — we ship the last successful New $ with the capture time noted on the PASS, then keep ranking for same-day relevance.

One clear hero on X. We pick one lead ASIN so the post isn’t a wall of equal noise — and we don’t re-tweet yesterday’s doorbell just because it’s still hot.

What we watch this window

From our Prime Big Deal Days day-1 board (fresh agent Buy New capture 2026-10-06 ~7:20 AM CT), the ladder we keep watching:

Event prices from Prime Big Deal Days; the event ended Oct 8, and these prices are no longer current.

Prices move. Re-check Buy New on Amazon before you buy if you’re reading this later.

What we deliberately don’t invent

Discovery heat without our New $ stays parked — blog cites alone never become PASS rows. Recent examples we refused to invent into the board: Blink Outdoor multi-cam kits, Fire Stick Select / HD sticks, and any ASIN that only redirected or lost a New buy box. Those pages wait for a real Buy New capture.
